London St Andrew’s Book Festival announces 2026 programme
The London St Andrew’s Book Festival has this week announced its 2026 programming. Now in its third year, the Festival returns to London on 16-22 November 2026, with an expanded programme featuring the best of Scottish literature and culture, including debut authors, as well as the first ever Gaelic event with words and music. The festival is brought to life by Scots in London, an organisation founded in 2017 to promote Scottish heritage, culture and the arts in the London area. Speakers this year include Traitors star and bestselling author Harriet Tyce, former BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, and actor and national treasure Bill Paterson, alongside many others.

Horniman Museum & Gardens’ taxidermy walrus returned ahead of gallery reopening
The Horniman Museum & Gardens’ iconic and much-loved Walrus returned to pride of place this week, as the museum prepares to reopen its Natural History Gallery to the public next year.

Folio Society unveils limited edition The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments
Folio Society unveiled a stunning upcoming Limited Edition of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments, illustrated by the Balbusso Twins, with an introduction by Margaret Atwood, and a foreword by Naomi Alderman (author of The Power).

The London Book Fair announces MIP Talks
The London Book Fair has announced this week that a new two-day conference called MIP Talks (replacing MIP London) will run during the next edition of the Fair in March (16-18). MIP Talks will bring together voices from the worlds of entertainment, media and culture, exploring which IP is breaking through and where opportunities are emerging.
