About Midas
Midas is an award-winning communications agency working at the heart of the books, arts, culture, and heritage sectors.
We are a close-knit team of PR, marketing and social media experts. We deliver standout campaigns that get noticed and communications strategies that deliver impactful media coverage, reach new audiences, grow brands and drive engagement. Every campaign we run is rooted in clear strategy, creative thinking and precise audience targeting. We identify the right stories, craft the right messages and land them with the right people – at the right moment. That clarity and rigour underpins everything we do.
Working with authors, artists, museums, prizes, events, brands and beyond, we have a very loyal client base, with some clients staying with us for over twenty years. Our clients stay with us because we’re thoughtful, agile and results-driven. We quickly get to the heart of a brief, understand the context and the stakeholders and bring a nuanced grasp of today’s media and influencer landscapes. Above all, we make our clients’ priorities our own – and deliver with care, energy and conviction.
The Opportunity:
Our internship programme is an opportunity to be fully immersed in our team and our work. This is a hands-on role where you would be trained in the fundamentals of building a PR campaign from beginning to end, including; writing effective and convincing copy for press releases and email pitches, building media and influencer lists, social media, media liaison, securing coverage, creative brainstorming, attending meetings where appropriate, setting up publicity schedules such as interviews, book signings and author events, researching suppliers, and collating media coverage. There would be the opportunity to attend various events which could include book launches, exhibition openings, festivals, photo calls, networking events, etc.
